Marc Bekoff

Marc Bekoff es uno de los autores más relevantes y reputados en el ámbito internacional en el ámbito de la defensa de los derechos de los animales. Catedrático emérito de Ecología y Biología evolucionista en la Universidad de Colorado, Boulder, así como miembro de la Animal Behavior Society y antiguo Guggenheim Fellow,es autor de más de treinta libros, entre los que destacan Minding animals: Awareness, emotions, and heart (2002), The Ten Trusts: What we must do to care for the animals we love (con Jane Goodall, 2002), Animals Matter: A Biologist Explains Why We Should Treat Animals with Compassion and Respect (2007), The Emotional Lives of Animals: A Leading Scientist Explores Animal Joy, Sorrow, and Empathy and Why They Matter (2007) o The Animal Manifesto: Six Reasons For Expanding Our Compassion Footprint (2010), además de editor de Ignoring Nature No More: The Case for Compassionate Conservation (2013).
